I'm pretty sure that tonight's thunderstorms will continue into tomorrow morning, and rush-hour traffic will be a headache for even the most experienced drivers who will curse the other car/the Metro bus/pedestrians in sober-colored raincoats/ducks crossing without advance warning/the weather and so forth; yet we desperately need rain as it's been a very dry spring. After the rain has fallen, irises will erupt, as will baptisias, perhaps peonies, and lilac bushes--previously minor players and now stars in the theatre of the modern garden. If all goes well, the rain will thankfully continue well into Tuesday . . . Happy Sunday, everyone.
